(Canastota, Chittenango, NY- Feb. 2013) The Canastota Lady Raiders defeated a gutsy Chittenango Lady Bears team Wednesday (Feb. 13) IMG_4804 3-1 in a semi-final before taking Adirondack in three straight sets on Saturday for the crown. Against Adirondack, sophomore Maureen Krak had all 28 assists while her sister, senior Melissa, teamed with sophomore Grace Campbell for 12 and 16 kills, respectively.

Wednesday’s match against Chittenango proved much more difficult for the Raiders, as only 2 points separated the two Madison County schools after three matches. Canastota prevailed in the fourth match, as Melissa Krak put on nothing less than a spectacular display of rocketry on her returns and volleys taking her team to Saturday’s championship event.
