(Wampsville, NY – April 8, 2013) Madison County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two car motor vehicle accident which occurred at approximately 7 p.m. April 8 at the intersection of Oxbow Road and West Milestrip Road in the Madison County Town of Fenner.

The crash occurred when a 2006 Chrysler minivan, operated by Shanti M. Crouch, age 31, of Oneida proceeded across Oxbow Road and in front of a 2000 Jeep, operated by Billie J. Evans, age 34, of Peterboro.

Evans required extrication from her vehicle by the Smithfield Fire Department. Crouch was transported from the scene to Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse.

Evans and her two passengers, Jeremy Richmond, 34 of Oneida, and Austin Wallis, 11, were also transported to Upstate Medical Hospital.

All injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.

Airbags in both vehicles deployed. All injured parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of collision.

Smithfield Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, assisted by the Lincoln Fire Department. Madison County Fire Coordinators were also alerted and responded to the scene. Greater Lenox, SEVAC and Vineall Ambulance transported the injured parties.

Charges are pending at this time.
