(Seneca Falls, NY – July 2013) Soybeans will be the featured crop in the 2013 New York Farm Bureau Family Center at the Aug. 6 to 8 Empire Farms Days at Rodman Lott and Son Farms in Seneca Falls.
Soybeans are an agricultural commodity that has a vast array of products and positives that impact everyone. The new education area at the New York Farm Bureau Family Center at Empire Farm Days includes information, exhibits, two soy feel boxes and a soy-focused Wheel of Agriculture game with soy snacks as a special prize, says New York Farm Bureau Foundation for Agricultural Education Managing Director Sandra K. Prokop.
A NY Corn and Soybean Growers Association grant helps make the new soybean exhibit possible.
Other new features at the Center include an Ask the Expert focus on agriculture-related public policy, information on the New York Farm Bureau leadership network and information for agricultural youth, young farmers and college students.
New York Farm Bureau insurance partner, Nationwide, is providing a special safety education center exhibit that will complete the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health showcase at the Center.
