Free Recreation Program for Boys and Men Ages 16 and Older Open to the Public

Lacrosse_sticks3(Oneida, NY – Sept. 2013) The Oneida Indian Nation Recreation Department invites boys and men ages 16 and older from across the community to participate in its fall lacrosse program.  The program is free of charge.

Each Monday from Sept. 9 through Oct. 28, practice will be held at the Oneida Nation’s lacrosse box or gymnasium from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.  The open time will help players to develop lacrosse skills such as scooping, cradling, passing, catching, shooting and footwork.  Participants must sign a waiver and provide their own lacrosse stick, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, cleats, mouthguard and athletic protector.  Arm guards and other protective equipment are optional.

The Oneida Nation Recreation Department lacrosse box and gymnasium are located on Territory Road in Oneida, approximately 3 miles south from the intersection of Routes 5 and 46.

Registration and waiver forms must be completed before participating.  For more information, call the Oneida Nation Recreation Department at (315) 829-8484.
