(Morrisville, NY – Sept. 2013) If you are in Pre-K to 6th grade be sure to stop in and get your coloring contest entry.  Also we are raffling off a Concrete Leaf Decoration for your garden, made by our very own landscaper, Karen Verne.  For more details on both, stop into the library.

Video game night is this Friday Oct. 4 at 6:30pm. Bring your handheld gaming system OR come and play on our WII gaming system.  Play against other gaming enthusiasts.

Our free Tai Chi Chuan Class will meet again on Monday Oct. 7 at 6:30pm.  Come join instructor Bill Snyder.  Open to all teens and adults.  If you can’t make it that day, he will be here again on Oct. 21.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets on Tuesday Oct. 8 at 9:30am.  Bring the little ones and help us have fun hearing stories and more about Yummy, yummy cookies.  If you can’t make that day, join us on Tuesday Oct. 15 for Owls and Bats.

Join Sue Greenhagen, Village and Town Historian, for her “Graveyards of Madison County” talk on Friday Oct. 11 at 6:30pm. This will take a look at many of Madison County’s cemeteries.  Included are interesting people, interesting headstones, and the “do’s & don’ts” of cemetery care.

On Tuesday Oct. 15 at 6:30pm, World War II Veteran, Al Paviglianti, will speak.  Al served in the 3rd Marine Division headquarters.  He spent the majority of his service time in the Pacific theatre including Guadalcanal, Guam, Iwo Jima and Bougainville.  Al is currently the Adjutant for the Madison County American Legion.  We are excited to host this amazing man.

From Tuesday Oct. 15 through Saturday Oct. 19 the Archives of World War II will be on display.  This is sponsored by the Madison County Historical Society, our Veterans Office and the County Clerk’s Office.  It will be mostly photos, some letters and other things from folks during World War II.

Join us for our book talk on Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s book, Love in the Time of the Cholera on Wednesday Oct. 16 at 6:30pm.  Copies are available now.

Bring the family in for popcorn and a movie on Friday Oct. 18 at 6:00pm.  We will be showing the movie, The Croods.  This will prove solidly entertaining for families seeking a fast-paced, funny cartoon adventure.

We will be closed on Monday Oct. 14 for Columbus Day.  We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
