(Parish, NY – Nov. 4, 2013)  On Nov. 4, at approximately 8 p.m., New York State Police in Hastings were called to Railroad Street in the Village of Parish for an alleged report of two men that had assaulted the homeowners with a machete, and stole property.  This property allegedly included cash and a long gun.

The suspects had left the scene prior to patrol’s arrival.
The suspect vehicle was spotted a short time later by an Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputy near Route 81 in Parish.  The suspects were apprehended a short time later on I-81 near Central Square, with assistance from the Sheriff’s Department and the Village of Central Square Police.
Malik L. DeJesus, 18 and Christian M. Figueroa, 21, of Lexington Avenue in Syracuse were both charged with the B Felony of first-degree Burglary.

DeJesusDeJesus was additionally charged with third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (C Felony),

FigueroaFigueroa was additionally charged with fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree (A Misdemeanor) and fourth-degree  Criminal Possession of Marijuana (A Misdemeanor).

Both were arraigned in the Town of Parish Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $25,000 / $50,000 bond.
