(Utica, NY – Nov. 11, 2013) On Friday Nov. 8 Investigator Allen Svitak and Trooper Derek Marks, SP Marcy, arrested Lyle W. Cavaretta, 33, of 10162 Burton Manor, Marcy and charged him with second-degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument (felony), second-degree Criminal Contempt (misdemeanor) and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
Cavaretta stole a personal check in the Town of Marcy and attempted to cash the forged check at the Bank of Utica located in the City of Utica. He also violated an order of protection.
He was held in the Utica PD lockup pending arraignment in the City of Utica Court.
