Hamilton Public Library News

(Hamilton, NY – July 2014) We are in full swing with the Summer Reading Program at the Hamilton Public Library!  A special thank you to our photographer Susan Beattie and to everyone who participated in our Geek the Library Photo Shoot—be on the lookout for your posters and book displays to be popping up in the Library and around town. We’ve so appreciated your generous donations of Legos to help supplement our supply, too—thank you.

Our Lego Fun days have been very popular and we’re excited to be part of this creativity building and related reading.

Other popular programs thus far include an exploration of Mammals of New York State with our friends from Rogers Environmental Center, and Lava Lamp chemistry creations led by Anne Marie Weeks.

But wait, there’s more yet to come.  Don’t forget about our weekly story time every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers.

We are also looking forward to testing aerodynamics with parachutes, paper airplanes, and hoop gliders; more chemistry exploration with oobleck and slime; and harnessing the power of the sun with our solar pizza box ovens; before ending the month with a Mother Goose Tea Party and entertainment from the Gravitational Bull Comedy Juggling Show on July 29.
