jr herd mad co for webMadison County’s Junior County Herd of Holsteins placed 3rd.  It consisted of the 3 highest-placing Holstein heifers from Madison County at the show.  These were: Dylan Anderson’s 1st place fall yearling, Hope Doney’s 4th place fall calf, and Alanna Parker’s 2nd  place spring calf.

(Madison County) The 67th Farmers Museum Junior Livestock Show was held in Cooperstown July 6to 8. There were several hundred exhibits of dairy and beef cows, pigs, sheep, and goats—all by youth ages 8 to 18.  Six 4-Hers from Madison County were among the 124 youth from nine counties who exhibited dairy cattle there. They included Dylan Anderson, Katelyn Bloss, Hope Doney, Alison Eisenhut, Jennie McIntosh, and Alanna Parker, with Holsteins.

 Dairy Showmanship highlights were:

Age 14: Katelyn Bloss placed 5th and Jennie McIntosh placed 6th.

Age 13: Hope Doney placed 5th out of 16.

Age 12: Dylan Anderson placed 1st.

 Holstein Show Results:

Spring Calf—Alanna Parker’s De-Urfee Reality Ava-RC placed 2nd in a large class.

Fall Calves—Hope Doney’s placed 4th, Katelyn Bloss’s 5th, Jennie McIntosh’s 7th, Alison Eisenhut’s 9th.

Summer Yearling—Dylan Anderson’s Kissamee Destry Veri placed 1st.

Fall Yearling—Dylan Anderson’s Kissamee Toystory Harmony placed 1st.
