Oneida police patch

(Oneida, NY – July 19, 2014) Oneida City Police are investigating a report of a missing person that was reported July 18 at about 4 p.m.

Thomas Zavalidroga reported his mother, Margaret Zavalidroga, 83 years old was missing. Margaret is Caucasian, about 5’tall, 100 pounds, black salt and pepper hair, false teeth, wearing gold rimmed glasses, green sweater, purple pants and brown slip on boots.

The last time it was confirmed that she was seen in Oneida was at about 10:30 a.m. when she signed papers regarding a vehicle purchase. Thomas reports that he later went to a friend’s house, around 2:30 p.m. on Genesee Street in Oneida in the area by Nye Ford to get a friend to help him pick up the vehicle. He reports he left his mother in his white van at the friends’ property as he expected to be gone only 20 minutes. He and the friend returned about an hour and a half later and he reports his mother was gone.  No one seen her in the van prior to leaving the friends property and no one seen her in the area. Thomas has been reluctant in providing information requested.

Margaret resides at 3267 Forward Road in Blossvale. That location was checked with negative results.

She has a son that resides at Hillcrest Manor in Utica. Police interviewed him and he had no information on her.
