56th annual event held Whitelaw
(Whitelaw, NY – July 2014) Whitelaw’s 56th annual Old Home Day will be held Saturday Aug. 2. This year’s event “honors our troops.”
The grand parade takes off at 11 a.m. (Floats and parade entries are needed. Contact Claude Hertel at 697-8493 or Jean Dunbar at 697-9813).
The frog jump begins at 2 p.m.; the Bach/Dunbar chicken barbecue will serve from 3 to 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 6 p.m.
There will be entertainment all day, food booths, games, rides and vendors. (Call 633-9097 to reserve vendor space).
And in the evening, the Erick D. Stevens Memorial Fireworks display – sponsored by the Stevens family and ZEMS Ice Cream – go off.
