Bring food donations for chance to win a resort stay
(Syracuse, NY – July 2014) FocalPoint Federal Credit Union’s annual Classic Car Cruise-In, to be held Monday, July 28 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the credit union, 6555 Ridings Road, Syracuse, will feature a new highlight: a “food-raiser” with a prize. Anyone who attends and brings an item to the cruise-in to donate for the Food Pantry will be entered in a drawing for a stay at Edgewood Resort, Alexandria Bay. The winner of the drawing will receive a $250 Edgewood gift certificate to use at the resort.
As always, the community event also will feature CNY Street Rods, hotdogs, ice cream, and DJ music by HM Entertainment. All owners of street rods (1948 and earlier), and street machines (1949 and after) are invited to bring their automobiles to the event, and the community is invited to enjoy the cars, food, and fun.
“Our annual cruise-in is truly an event for the community,” said Marilyn Marra-Crolick, CEO at FocalPoint. “It combines neighbors and business neighbors, a love of old cars, and a benefit for folks in need, all at a fun event.”
According to Marra-Crolick, all food items collected at the Cruise-in will be donated to the Food Pantry through St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale.
FocalPoint Federal Credit Union’s location at 6555 Ridings Road, Syracuse, is located off Route 298, between Carrier and Military Circles.
Weather permitting, the Classic Car Cruise-in at FocalPoint credit union has been changed to Wednesday, August 6, from 4-6:30 p.m.
