(Morrisville, NY – July 2014) This Friday Aug. 1 at 6:30 p.m. we are having a Nature Scavenger Hunt.  You will be given a list of things that you must find outside.  It won’t be find a leaf but more like “find something fuzzy” or “find something that makes noise.”  Lots of fun to be had.

Field Paleontologists, Mike and Roberta Straka, will explore the great extinction that wiped out all the dinosaurs and other animals on Wednesday Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m.  The show will feature Molly the Mosasaur as well as fun-filled music, show and tell, an exciting experiment and a touch of magic in this great show, “Exploding Geoscience.”

On Friday Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m. join us for Einstein’s Megatronic Cosmic Café.  Choose from lots of different items on the menu.  You will be served four “courses.”  See if you can identify what the items really are.  For example: what is a “Newton’s Apple?” Pick it as part of one of your courses and you could find out.

On Wednesday Aug. 13 at 2:30 p.m. join 9WSYR Meteorologist Jim Teske as he shares with us his exciting job.  Learn how he tracks the weather, storms and more.  Also watch footage of a tornado.

“Don’t let the gravity of the situation get you down, catch the fun,” said Dave and Kyle Fultz, Gravitational Bull Jugglers that are appearing at the library on Friday Aug. 15 at 6:30 p.m.  Come see the fun and amazing antics of these two as summer reading comes to an end.
