(Town of Sullivan, NY – Aug. 2014) On Monday, Aug. 11, at 10:30 a.m., at the library in Chittenango, a father-and-son team of jugglers will present “Gravitational Bull,” a show that combines comedy, object manipulation and juggling. This program is suitable for all ages.

Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 10:30 a.m., in Chittenango, musician Donna Butterfield will host “Sing with Miss Donna,” geared toward ages 3 through 6.

Monday, Aug. 18, at 10:30 a.m., in Chittenango, Magician Ryan Bliss will perform a Magic Show. This program is suitable for all ages.

On Monday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. at the library in Bridgeport, a father-and-son team of jugglers will present “Gravitational Bull,” a show that combines comedy, object manipulation and juggling. This program is suitable for all ages.

The Sullivan Free Library in Bridgeport will be hosting a Family Fun Laser Tag Night in Chapman Park on Route 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14. This activity is suitable for ages 4 and older. Each game played requires a ticket, and participants may play multiple games.

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $3 each at either branch of the library or at the event for $4 each.

In the event of rain, the event will be held on the following Thursday, Aug. 21. Proceeds from this event will support the Sullivan Free Library in Bridgeport.

Monday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. in Bridgeport, Magician Ryan Bliss will perform a Magic Show. This program is suitable for all ages.

On Thursday, August 21st at 6:00, the library at 8979 North Road in Bridgeport will host a program by Alan E. Stirling on the misplaced historical marker along the Chittenango Creek on Bridgeport-Kirkville Road. The actual location of the “Turtle Tree Incident” in 1780 has been disagreed upon by local historians for years. Stirling will give the definitive answers to what actually happened and where.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. in Bridgeport, the Book Discussion group will discuss The Dirty Life: a memoir of farming, food and love by Kristin Kimball. Copies of the book are available at the desk, and new members are always welcome. This book is being discussed in conjunction with the “Grassroots Read” sponsored by the MidYork Library System.
