Hamilton Public Library News

(Hamilton, NY – Aug. 2014) We have a few reminders to pass along this week.  This Saturday, Aug. 16 is the last day for children and teens to turn in reading records to participate in the Big Prize Drawings for our Summer Reading Program.  We have many prizes to share with our program participants and know you’ve been busy reading this summer, so be sure to stop by and enter in the Drawings.  Winners of these Big Prize Drawings will be notified the following week.

The Friends of the Library are preparing for the annual book sale and gladly accepting donations of both adult and children’s books that are gently used and in good condition, as well as CDs and DVDs. Small donations may be brought to the circulation desk, and our staff will be happy to direct where to leave larger boxes or greater quantities.

The Friends are also looking for volunteers to help with book sorting, processing materials for recycling, and post-sale clean up.  Experienced book sorters may stop by to help anytime, and all other volunteers should call Carolyn Dearnaley at 824-9807 to make arrangements.  If you are planning ahead, the book sale runs from 10am-8pm of Friday, Aug. 29 and from 10am-2pm on Saturday, Aug. 30.

Many of the Hamilton-area Little League baseball and softball photographs that families ordered are still here waiting to be collected.  If you placed an order but have not received your photographs, please stop by the library circulation desk.
