(Oneida, NY- Aug. 2014) In preparation for their 42nd Annual Used Book Sale in September, the Friends of the Oneida Public Library invite community members to donate their gently used books, audiobooks, DVDs and CDs for the sale by dropping them off in the gym at the First United Methodist Church of Oneida at the corner of West Grove and Main Streets Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Friends’ Used Book Sale will take place in the First United Methodist Church gym on Thursday Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Friends cannot accept condensed books, obsolete textbooks or reference books or damaged items.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the Oneida Public Library to purchase books and offer special programs, such as the performance of “Alice in Wonderland” by the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theater earlier this month.
