(Canastota) Basic Facts: Canastota Crop Walk has risen over the years $83,587.91 to combat hunger, supply clean water and to improve lives through literacy programs and business start-ups. This is a community-based and interfaith event that unites us in tackling human needs nationally and internationally.
Last year 50 participants walked; this year we would like to double the number and double the dollars. We are challenging community groups to organize teams and walk united on Sunday, Oct.19; registration begins at 1 p.m. St. Agatha’s Church, 329 N. Peterboro St. in Canastota.
