(Marcy, NY – Aug. 25, 2014) State Police are investigating a single motorcycle, double fatal accident that occurred at 7929 West Thomas Street on the outer district City of Rome.
The motorcycle, a 1988 Kawasaki, exited the south shoulder of the road and struck a mailbox and signpost, ejecting both occupants. The occupants have been identified as 53 year-old, Paul T. Gentile of Rome, and 29 year-old, Franklin G. Salcedo also of Rome.
Both subjects were pronounced deceased by AmCare paramedics on scene.
Investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
