(Canastota, NY – Sept. 2014) The board and staff of Community Action Partnership for Madison County would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Canastota Community Chest and all of the businesses, churches, service organizations and individuals who support the Community Chest each year.
The Canastota Community Chest is a longtime financial supporter of the CAP Mentoring Partnership, a program that matches local youth with positive adult role models. The Community Chest’s generous support of this program will have effects that far outlast the funds provided.
Program participants develop meaningful relationships, expand their social skills, increase community awareness and undergo regular educational assessments in order to help them achieve personal, social, and academic growth; 17 Canastota youth have been enrolled in the program since September, and two caring adults currently serve as mentors.
CAP is just one of many local service organizations that benefit from the generosity of the Canastota Community Chest and its supporters. Thank you once again; your generosity supports the present and future success of our youth and our community.
