Arts-20-2014 mccmc (Palace Theater)

(Hamilton, NY – Nov. 2014) Phoenix Project Dance will take center stage at the Palace Theater, 19 Utica St., Hamilton, at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22.

PPD is known for their demanding partnering, featuring balance and counter-balance, innovative lifts and daring throws. Music from a wide variety of genres sets the stage and adds depth and emotion to each work.

Founded in 2004 and based in Norwich, the dance company is inspired by the idea of the bird reborn from the ashes of its own demise. The re-invention of one’s self is the driving force behind the PPD’s artistic vision, and each dance projects power, passion and elegance. Nationally award-winning choreographers Amber and Michael Perkins of Norwich are the creative force for the company and are dedicated to keeping the arts alive in rural communities throughout the state and the country.

Tickets for this event are $15 for youth 17 years and under, and $20 for adults 18 years and older. Reservations are highly recommended and may be made by calling the Palace Theater at 315.824.1420. Tickets will be sold at the door, and seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
