Food basket(Poolville, NY – Dec. 2014) Celebrate the season at the Poolville Winter Farmers Market on Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon. Market goers will find a wide array including fresh produce, breads, baked goods, mushrooms, cheese, butter, meats, grains, eggs, prepared meals, and other goods perfect for holiday meals.  Joining the vendor lineup will be Fruit of the Fungi (fresh and dried shiitake mushrooms from Lebanon) and Gianforte Farms (organic grains rice, and flours grown in Cazenovia).

In addition to local foods, the market will feature area artisans, including Kylie Spooner (pottery), Cris Amman (hand-dyed yarns), Goat Lady Soap Company (natural soaps and lotions), Beth Dubois (jewelry), and Patricia Ryan (stained glass).

Find just about any type of in-season produce available at Common Thread Community Farm’s table.  Their products are grown organically just outside Hamilton.

The market café will feature Martine Cook of Heirloom Meadows Farm.  She will offer eclectic farm-to-table fare with international influences.  Heirloom Meadows’ pastries and breads will also be available at the market.  As always, locally roasted Fojo coffee will be available by the cup.

The market is held in the Poolville Community Center at 7484 Willey Road, Poolville.
