state-police-seal-150x150(Hubbardsville, NY – Jan. 16, 2015) Morrisville based state police are investigating a serious personal injury motor vehicle accident which occurred on State Route 12 in the Town of Hamilton Friday afternoon.

At approximately 1:35 p.m. Jan. 16 troopers responded to a two vehicle crash on Route 12 near Willey Road in the Town of Hamilton.

The investigation determined that a 2003 Hyundai Sonata operated by 18 year old Daneil M. Miner of Sherburne was northbound on Route 12 passing Willey Road when the vehicle slid counterclockwise on the snow covered roadway.  The Hyundai travelled into the southbound lane of Route 12 into the path of a southbound 2004 Ford F150 pickup truck operated by Charlie A. Anderson of Sherburne.  The pickup truck collided with the passenger side of the Hyundai and the impact forced the car off the west side of the roadway.

Hubbardsville firefighters extricated Miner from her vehicle and SOMAC ambulance transported her to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica for treatment of head and internal injuries.  Miner was admitted in critical but stable condition.

Anderson was uninjured in the crash.
