letters-to-the-editor.image_(Cazenovia, NY – Feb. 2015) Kings, tyrants, and community organizers rely on power to achieve their goals.  Kings use armies, tyrants use secret police, and community organizers use mobs.

As a US immigrant, Dinesh D’Souza understands, and captured in “America: Imagine the World without Her” how America is different from previous governments.  America’s founders saw the need for a nation of, by, and for the people and created a nation ruled by laws and not the arbitrary whims of some king or tyrant.  They were willing to die for their ideas.  Americans for the status quo expected foreign soldiers (British) to die for their cause.

Today, some are willing to die for ISIL while some of their opponents expect foreigners to die for their security.  (In fairness, some ISIL opponents are willing to fight, but we are not willing to provide them with the weapons needed to win).

Today, we are rapidly moving from a nation ruled by laws to one ruled by mobs.  Instead of free speech, people willing to express their opinions in private gatherings are attacked in the media.  Instead of innocent until proven guilty, people only accused (not even charged) are forced out of employment.

Today, we see the tyranny of government passing laws and creating thousands of regulations that are selectively enforced to achieve political ends; and, the increasing use of social media in combination with the mainstream news media to spread propaganda to achieve whatever ends the community organizers have in mind.
