IRS certified volunteers under the auspices of Cornell Co-operative Extension will provide free tax help and electronic filing to seniors on a first-come, first-served basis. Seniors should bring all their pertinent tax documents with them. Tax Help at the OPL continues Monday and Wednesday mornings through April 15.

This is an early literacy program of rhymes, songs, fingerplay and stories that will help children from birth through two years old to develop pre-reading skills.

Jim McCarthy’s ‘Celebrate Reading’
Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
As a special Spring Break program, singer and songwriter Jim McCarthy returns to the OPL to perform for students and parents a sing-along concert of fun and lively songs celebrating children’s books, authors and characters.

The Oneida Public Library Board of Trustees will meet in the library’s Meeting Room, 220 Broad St., Oneida. The public is invited to attend. The Meeting Room, which is on the library’s main floor, permits barrier-free access to the physically handicapped.

WWI on Film: ‘My Boy Jack’
Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
Based on David Haig’s play, this touching film portrays the family of Rudyard Kipling (Haig), imperialist author and war propagandist, as his only son Jack (Daniel Radcliffe) joins up for the Great War.

Local author, musician, teacher and broadcaster Tom Townsley will read selections from his new book of poetry “Reading the Empty Page,” copies of which will be avilable for purchase and signing by the author.

Artist and teacher Carol Cotten returns with spring to lead a free watercolor workshop for adults with experience in the medium. The free workshop goes for five, two-hour sessions from April 22 to May 20. Participants need to provide their own art supplies and pre-register at the OPL circulation desk. The workshop is limited to 20 participants.
