(Canastota, NY – May 2015) The Village of Canastota along with the Canastota American Legion Post 140 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 600 are proud to present the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies on Monday May 25.
The scheduled events commence that morning at 9 a.m. with military honors at Mount Pleasant Cemetery and are followed by the parade step off at 10 a.m. from Roberts Street Elementary School. The communities finest will be on display and proceeding from the school south on Peterboro Street to Clark Memorial Park.
Memorial Day Ceremonies at Clark Park start promptly at 11 a.m. and feature an array of speakers and commemorations to our dearly and honorably departed. The services will include the dedication of additional names on the World War II Memorial of Canastota and the local community members who served valiantly.
