(Hamilton, NY – July, 5 2015) Are you a member of the Friends of the Library? Or maybe just curious and would like to know more about them and how they support the Library? You’re in luck. The Friends of the Library organization will host its first Annual General Meeting on Wednesday July 15 at 5 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room.  Members of the Friends group as well as the public are invited to learn more about the Friends organization and how it works to support the Library through membership donations, the annual book sale, and other volunteer opportunities.

Speaking of the book sale… If you’re looking for a new home for your gently used books that are still in good condition, you can give them new life by donating them to the Friends of the Library for their annual book sale.  The sale is held Labor Day weekend, but your literary donations may be brought to the library during our regular hours beginning Aug. 3.  Please do not leave books anywhere outside the library building.  Small donations (less than a box) may be brought to the circulation desk, and our staff will be happy to direct where to leave larger boxes or greater quantities.  We are very appreciative of your support and generosity, and look forward to seeing you at the book sale later this summer.

Additional information about Library resources, programs and policies, as well as access to our online services, is available through the Library website http://midyorklib.org/hamilton/.  From the website, you can also sign up for our listserv and Wowbrary notices to receive emails about general Library news and newly added materials in our collections!  Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date information about programs, special events, and other general Library-related information:  http://www.facebook.com/HPL.books .

The Library is normally open Monday-Friday, 10am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to1pm. Please visit or call the Library (315) 824-3060 during these hours for assistance. The book drop at the front of the building is always available for your convenience.
