musical notes(Clinton, NY – Aug. 2015) Come watch the Village of Clinton come alive with music, artists, crafters, demonstrators, food and so much more.

On Saturday Aug. 29 from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. the Clinton Chamber of Commerce presents the 10th Annual Clinton Art and Music Festival in Clinton. This event will showcase musical performances at eight venues and will highlight more than 50 artists, craftsmen, food vendors and live demonstrations throughout the village of Clinton. Festivities begin at 10 am.

Music highlights the Festival with Main Stage Performances (Gazebo on the Village Green) of Sirsy (1 p.m. passion with a punch), Foundations (3 p.m. Southern, Traditional Soulful Gospel band) and Puttin’ on the Ritz (5 p.m. big band, blues, swing, rock, pop and much more).

At the Village Tavern is the Dharma Bums (at 3:30 and 5 p.m.).  The Carmen Caramanica Trio, Blarney Rebel Band, Rabbit in the Rye, Lorijo Manley, Beth and Fritz, Adanfo African Drum Ensemble, the Rusty Doves, Monk Rowe and Ann Carey and more at seven other venues.

Have you always wanted to try an instrument, something you may have never played before or just want to impress others with your musical prowess, then come to the musical petting zoo and give it a try.  Kids and adults of all ages welcome.

Clinton Pottery will offer children the opportunity to experience the thrill of throwing a piece of pottery. Rock painting and creating a wind catcher for children will also be offered at no charge. Clinton Pottery will once again offer the Tallest Pot throwing contest at 2 p.m. with a cash prize going to the winner of the tallest pot.

This event is free and open to the public.
