CACDA(Cazenovia, NY – Sept. 2015) Mark your calendar for Oct. 3 and 10 to visit the 2015 Cazenovia Art Trail, a unique opportunity to meet painters, sculptors, potters, photographers and crafts people in their studios where they bring their works to life. Visitors will experience a diverse collection of artists and their works as well as nature’s display of fall colors in and around Cazenovia. Studios and “Art Hubs” will be open for the tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first two Saturdays of October.

The Art Trail welcomes back many artists who participated in previous years, including Peter Beasecker, potter; Wayne Daniels, painter; Naomi DeMuth, potter; Roger DeMuth, illustrator; Eugen Doering, metal sculptor; Henry Drexler, painter; Marilyn Fegan, 3-D painter; Jude Ferencz, metal sculptor; Kristen Gale, jewelry maker; Dave Harper, wood sculptor; Liz Lurie, potter; Susan Machamer, jewelry artist; Rick Marchant, painter; Tom McCobb, painter; Paul Parpard, multimedia; Dave Porter, wood sculptor; Deborah Wester, painter; multiple artists at Cazenovia Artisans, and Cazenovia College art and design faculty in the Gallery at Reisman Hall.

The Art Trail introduces a number of new exhibitors, including Carolyn Ahern, painter; Hongo (David Robertson), painter; Marie Henry, fabric artist; Shawn Gilmore, painter; Independent Potters’ Association at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, and Jerry Weimar, photographer. Cazenovia Cut Block will again open its woodworking studio during the 2015 Art Trail and their hand-crafted bowls, furniture and other items will be available for purchase at the Cazenovia Farmers Market in the village.

Sponsored by the Cazenovia Area Community Development Association, (CACDA), this 4th annual Art Trail includes more than 25 of the area’s finest artists, working in their home studios or other “art hub” settings during the event. The 2015 Art Trail includes a few studios within walking distance in the historic village, while other studios may be reached by car. The event is free and open to the public. Discover the art and artists that make this one of the most colorful spots in Central New York.

Special points of interest along the 2015 Art Trail will include Cazenovia Farmer’s Market, the Gallery and Museum at the Cazenovia Public Library, Critz Farm and Harvest Moon Cidery, Lorenzo State Historic Site, Our Farm, and Pompey Historical Society Campus.

Maps of the Art Trail will be available at all artists’ locations on the days of the event, including the Cazenovia Public Library, which also serves as an “Art Hub” for several artists in the Library’s Community Room, or they can be downloaded from the Art Trail website, art-trail.org.
