(Trenton, NY – October 2, 2015) While on routine patrol Trooper Lance S. Roczen, SP Remsen, received a report of a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle with the engine running in the front yard of a residence on State Route 28 in the Town of Trenton. Trooper Roczen responded to the scene, assisted by Trooper Bethany R. Lamphere, to find 26 year old David J. Maciewicz Jr. of Barneveld, NY sleeping in the driver seat of his vehicle. Troopers Roczen and Lamphere interviewed Maciewicz, conducted SFST’s (Standardized Field Sobriety Test), and subsequently arrested Maciewicz for DWI.
Maciewicz was transported to SP Remsen for processing where he submitted to a breath test resulting in a reportable B.A.C. of .23 %. Maciewicz was issued tickets and released to a third party. He is to return to the Town of Trenton Court on a later date to answer his charges.
