(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2015) The US Small Business Association Office of Advocacy statistics show that it costs the smallest of businesses almost $7,000 per employee every year to comply with federal regulations. Small businesses experience this financial burden at a rate of 60 percent greater than costs incurred by large corporations. This statistic does not include your State regulations.
Doing the right thing in the right order matters. Cornell County Cooperative Extension offices will be holding free informational sessions with the New York State Department of Labor, to shine some light on State employer requirements and responsibilities for agricultural labor.
