(Oneida, Cazenovia, NY – Nov. 2015) If you or someone you know has questions about breastfeeding or is in need of breastfeeding support, there are now two Breastfeeding Connections Baby Weigh Stations in Madison County. Moms can get their babies weighed at Breastfeeding Connections at Oneida Healthcare, 607 Seneca Ave. Appointments are available on Mondays from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. by calling 315-361-2065.

Breastfeeding Connections Café is held on the first and third Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. Join other moms and their babies for social time that includes a light lunch. No appointment is necessary for the Café.

In Cazenovia, a brand new Breastfeeding Connections Baby Weigh Station is now open Mondays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Physicians The Heritage Group, 132 ½ Albany Street. In addition to checking baby’s weight, moms can get one-on-one help from a trained lactation counselor. Anyone is welcome to attend, regardless of where they live or who their provider is. St. Joseph’s Physicians will schedule appointments for their patients. Established breastfeeding moms may simply drop in between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. Call Amy at 315-883-8249 if you have any questions.

If it hurts or you are thinking of giving up, visit either Breastfeeding Connections location for help. Breastfeeding is healthy for both mom and the baby. Breast milk is the best and most complete food for your baby. If you’ve decided to breastfeed, that is the first step. Getting support when you need it is the next! Follow “Breastfeeding Café” on facebook for breastfeeding support services in Madison, Oneida, and Herkimer Counties.
