american-heart-logo-black(Oneida, NY – Nov. 2015) Hands-Only CPR training for Oneida High School students will take place Tuesday Nov. 24 at the Oneida High School auditorium.

Earlier this fall, the state Board of Regents approved a policy requiring Hands-Only CPR training before graduation. Thanks to the Gorman Foundation, 22 area school districts are receiving CPR Anytime Kits to assist with training. Along with volunteers from six local organizations, Oneida High School will train the entire student population over two days in November.

More than 326,000 people suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest each year in the U.S. Immediate CPR can double or even triple a victim’s chance of survival.
