On April 23 at approximately 5:50 a.m., State Police stopped to render aid to a possible disabled vehicle on I-287. The driver of the vehicle, Asia S. Smith, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found to be intoxicated. She was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown, where her blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.18 percent.Smith was subsequently charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated.
She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable in Elmsford Village Court May 11 at 9:30 a.m.
