On Jan. 18, State Police and Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a residence on State Route 3 in Mexico. Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputies located a vehicle in the area matching the suspect vehicle description with three male occupants fitting the description of the suspects observed by a neighbor.

The three males were identified as Chad M. Bleau, 25, of Fulton; John L. Johnson, 27, of Mexico; and Patrick A. West, 22, of Fulton. The three men denied being at the scene of the burglary. A black backpack was located in the bed of the pickup truck and was secured by State Police when all three males denied ownership of it.

Troopers and the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation located the property owner living out of state. The victim returned to Mexico and provided State Police with a thorough list of all items stolen from the home. He also identified the backpack and all of its contents that State Police had removed from the pickup as items stolen from his home. Further investigation also revealed several items belonging to the victim being pawned at an Oswego pawn shop by Lauridee J. Jenner, 24, of Mexico.

Bleau was located April 5 at the Oswego County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges. He was taken into custody and charged by State Police with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Mexico Town Court and remanded back to the Oswego County Jail.

Jenner and West were located and charged April 12. Jenner was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony. She was released on an appearance ticket and returned to Mexico Town Court April 21. West was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket and returned to Mexico Town Court April 26.

Johnson turned himself in at SP Pulaski April 28 and was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Mexico Town Court May 3.
