Be sure to join us Thursday, June 2, for Essential Oils at 6:30 p.m. Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally. Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.

On Friday, June 3, we are having a Teen/Adult Movie Night at 7 p.m. We are showing the movie Bridge of Spies with Tom Hanks. Bring your own beverage; we provide the popcorn. Movie is rated PG-13 so we will only allow people 13+ in to view the movie unless you are with a parent or guardian. (Note: Movie is 141 minutes so if you have library business, do it before the movie starts).

On Friday, June 10, we will be having “Madison County on Fire” Historic Talk at 6:30 p.m. Join Madison County Historian, Matt Urtz, who will present Madison County on Fire. Urtz will talk about some of the most prominent fires in the county’s history utilizing newspaper clippings & photos.

Did you know the library sells postage stamps and two kinds of envelopes? Did you know we also sell Madison County Landfill punch cards? We also have a notary on staff and we do one-on-one training of devices (i.e.-tablets, kindle fires, smart phones, etc.) We also do faxes ($1 for the first page, 10 cents each page after) and make copies (10 cents each). Get your DVD’s here for your family movie nights too and they are free.

We have started our summer hours Saturday, May 28. That means we will be closed Saturdays through Labor Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
