The Partnership for Community Development, Hamilton’s economic development nonprofit, has begun researching barriers and opportunities to accessing local food and is seeking restaurants to participate in the project.
Through collaboration with restaurant owners and farmers, the PCD seeks to evaluate the demand and availability of local meat and eggs in area restaurants. With this information, the PCD will develop ways to make these products more accessible in the community.
Luke Felty, a fellow from the Upstate Summer Field School, will be conducting the research.
