Morrisville State CollegeThe Morrisville State College athletics department will be holding a “Back to School” supply drive now through September 18th for the local Morrisville-Eaton Central School District, in an effort to assist the district children with needed supplies for the upcoming school year.

In the first year of holding the drive, the Mustangs were able to collect and donate more than 1,100 items to the elementary and middle/high schools.

Donations will be collected now through Saturday, Sept. 18, at the athletic office, located in the Recreation Center, or at identified home games on the Morrisville State campus.

Fans can bring donated items to the home volleyball tournament Saturday, Sept. 3; the women’s and men’s soccer games against rival SUNY Polytechnic on Saturday, Sept. 10; and the women’s and men’s soccer games against Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, Sept. 17.

They will wrap up their efforts on the 17th at the football home opener against Utica College at 7 p.m.

Needed supplies include, but are not limited to: pens, pencils, notebooks, paper, erasers, 2-pocket folders, markers, crayons, glue sticks, highlighters and binders.

Last year the Mustangs logged more than 3,000 hours of service to the community, were active in 32 different activities, and raised more than $9,800 for charitable organizations.
