Caz libraryKick off the weekend with an action-packed journey into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Cazenovia Public Library will present a free screening of Captain America: Civil War (2016) on Friday, September 16th, at 6:00 pm in the Community Room.

The third installment of the Captain Americasuperhero franchise picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Captain America) leads a new team of Avengers in their efforts to protect humanity. Despite the best intentions of the superhero squadron, several of its missions have resulted in inadvertent civilian death and destruction. Following an international incident involving a good deal of collateral damage, the government passes the Hero Registration Act, a law limiting a super hero’s actions. The regulation creates a rift between the Avengers. While Iron Man supports a system of accountability, Captain America believes that the government alone cannot be relied upon to protect the world. Tensions escalate into an all-out war between the factions: Team Iron Man (Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine, and Spiderman) and Team Captain America (Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Sharon Carter, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant Man). Meanwhile, a new and nefarious villain emerges.

Captain America: Civil War is rated PG-13 and runs 147 minutes. Free popcorn will be provided.
