Tuesday, October 4th at 10:30am – Story Time
Story Time for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers is held in the children’s story room, led by Early Childhood Educator, Hilary Virgil.  Story Time for preschoolers will be held in the community room and led by guest educator Joan Ford.  Special music time will follow. Story Time is held every Tuesday from mid-September through July, unless otherwise closed for a holiday or emergency.

Do you have a little one at home or know someone who does? Have you heard of a WHALE kit? In this case WHALE stands for “We Have A Little Emergency.” The kit contains stickers for parents and caregivers to fill out and attach to their child’s car seat, so in the event there is an accident and the adults in the car are unable to communicate with first responders, the emergency responders can easily read the child’s name, emergency contact information, and any special needs or medical information. The WHALE logos are nationally recognized by law enforcement, fire, and other emergency personnel. As part of a community outreach and safety initiative the hospital auxiliary has ordered kits for our community which the Library is helping to make readily available to you. To pick up your kit, please stop by the Hamilton Public Library or Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, or contact Gloria Lenhart directly at 315-824- 2667.
