MVHSThe Mohawk Valley Health System’s Central New York Diabetes Education Program (CNY Diabetes) is hosting a free community education program on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton Street, Whitesboro. This event recognizes National Diabetes Month.

Christopher Houle, PharmD, CGP, CDE, will present strategies for the medical management of diabetes. Dr. Houle has been practicing pharmacy for the last 17 years and is currently the inpatient clinical pharmacy coordinator for Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica. He is a certified diabetes educator and board certified in geriatric pharmacotherapy.

The event is open to the public and those interested in learning more about diabetes and ways to prevent or manage it are encouraged to attend. A small tasting of diabetic-friendly cuisine will be provided. There is no charge to attend this community event; however, registration is required as seating is limited.
