montana-justinOn Oct. 25, 2016, members from the Internet Crimes Against Children/Computer Crime Unit and State Police in Fulton arrested Justin J. Montana, 31, from Minetto, as a result of an investigation into the sexual exploitation of minors via a social networking site.

The investigation which spanned three states (Indiana, Wisconsin, New York) revealed that Montana was enticing children as young as 13 to produce and send him images and/or videos consistent with child pornography while engaging in sexually explicit chat.

Montana had also sent videos of himself engaging in sexual acts to children as young as 13. Montana was charged with (2) counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, a class “C” felony and (1) count of Disseminating Indecent Material 1st degree, a class “D” felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Minetto Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court Nov. 2, 2016.

The investigation is on-going and anyone with information can contact the Computer Crime Unit or State Police in Fulton at (315) 598-2112. The State Police were assisted by members of Homeland Security Investigations and the US Marshal Service.
