letters to the editorTo the Editor:
Let’s do our District a big favor, let’s elect Kim Myers to represent us in the Congress.
Kim Myers has all the skills and the desire to reach across the aisle to secure passage of needed legislation. She is an experienced problem solver with a demonstrated passion for community service and compassion for those she represents. Kim has all of the necessary experience, having served on the Vestal School Board for 18 years and is currently serving on the Broome County Legislature.
Electing Kim Myers is important to us. For the past several years those who have controlled Congress
have had an opportunity to help in the recovery of our nation from what has been our greatest financial disaster in decades and, all experts agree, the majority in  Congress did nothing. Absolutely nothing. While the nation craved a jobs bill, they did nothing, while we worried over the condition of our veterans and their benefits, they did nothing. The list goes on and on.
Currently, those that controlled the Congress last session are all lining up pledging to continue doing nothing over the next couple of years, nothing that is, unless you count endless obstruction and dysfunction.
It’s worth noting that Kim is running against two candidates that belong to the majority party, one a self-styled “Independent” but a pledged Republican. Of one of them, the Syracuse Media noted that: “After years of dysfunction and this tumultuous campaign, the last thing Washington needs is another obstructionist lawmaker.”

We all crave change; let’s change up the formula in Congress.  Let’s send someone to Congress that has the advancement of our interests in mind.  Keep the “obstructors” home, let them obstruct their own households, not ours.

Vote Kim Myers for Congress.
