The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) based in Lysander announce the arrest of Patricia A. Bort, 33, of Auburn, for second-degree identity theft, a class E felony. Bort is accused of using a KeyBank ATM in the City of Fulton Nov. 3, 2016, to withdraw funds from the account of an acquaintance without permission.
Bort was arraigned and was remanded to the Oswego County Jail pending a future court date.
During the course of the investigation, Troopers discovered Bort used the personal identification of another person to identify herself during a traffic stop Oct. 14, 2016, while in Syracuse. Bort was issued an appearance ticket returnable for a future court date.
