Morrisville State College will host its fourth annual Milk Run on Friday, April 21, to benefit the experiential learning activities of the agricultural business and dairy science programs.

The family-friendly event is a five-kilometer (5K) run, walk or crawl open to all skill levels. The race begins at 6 p.m. in front of Marshall Hall, with race-day registration and packet pick-up open from 4:30-5:45 p.m.

Fun facts related to agriculture and dairy will be displayed throughout the course of the race, which supports ventures that enhance student learning, align students with industry and prepare them for the global economy. Among them are field trips to dairy farms and agribusinesses, such as a recent trip to Texas in which students visited various processing plants and dairy operations in the cities of Amarillo and Dalhart.

Following the race’s conclusion, gold, silver and bronze medals will be presented to the top-three finishers for males, females and by age group. Yogurt donated by Chobani, milk donated by Stewart’s Shops, and fruit and water will be available at the finish line.

Race results and photos will be posted to the Morrisville State College Milk Run Facebook page here, where a course map can also be viewed.

Registration can be completed online at www.eventbrite.com or through the MSC application form found here. The entry cost is $25 if postmarked by April 14 and $30 on race day. All participants registered by April 14 will receive a T-shirt, while those that register on race day will receive a T-shirt on a first-come, first-served basis.
