Mayhood’s Sporting Goods sponsors annual “Catch-Up & Mustard Day” at Rogers Center  Help prepare Rogers Center for an exciting season of outdoor adventures by volunteering during the annual “Catch-Up & Mustard Day.”

Friends of Rogers will be cleaning, raking, painting, and all-around preparing for an absolutely incredible summer season. Generously sponsored by Mayhood’s Sporting Goods of Norwich, “Catch-Up & Mustard Day” commemorates Earth Day and National Environmental Education Week.

Beginning at 11 a.m. April 22, 2017, community volunteers will help Friends of Rogers “catch-up” on spring cleaning tasks, such as adding mulch to hiking trails, trimming stray branches from walkways, and removing invasive garlic mustard plants.

Thanks to Clyde’s Little Red Barn of Earlville, all pre-registered volunteers will be treated to free hot dogs for lunch, served with actual ketchup and mustard!

“The support we receive from Mayhood’s Sporting Goods and Clyde’s Little Red Barn is truly inspiring,” said Simon Solomon, FOR executive director. “We are extremely grateful for their partnerships with us. The generosity shown to Rogers Center from local businesses such as Mayhood’s and Clyde’s demonstrates the affection our community has for this beloved place.”

To pre-register as a “Catch-Up & Mustard Day” volunteer, call (607) 674-4733 or email execdir@FriendsofRogers.org. Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational programs for people of all ages.

Seasonal hours are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
