The Cazenovia Public Library will present two free screenings of Lion (2016) on Friday, May 5 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the Community Room.

Lion is based on the non-fiction book A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierley with Larry Buttrose. The film tells the story of five-year old Saroo, who gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of miles from home.

The young boy learns to survive on his own before an Australian couple discovers and adopts him. Twenty-five years later, Saroo embarks on a journey to find his lost family, equipped only with a few memories, his determination, and Google Earth technology.

The film is rated PG-13 and runs 118 minutes. Free popcorn provided.
