Each Saturday in May (6, 13, 20 and 27) from 9 to 10 a.m., the Utica Zoo will host yoga sessions to benefit Yoda the white-handed gibbon and all of the primates at the zoo.

Location of the classes within the zoo will be determined by the weather and instructor. All levels of yoga and all ages are welcome.

Limited to 30 people per session. Pre-register by emailing events@uticazoo.org. Price is $20 per person, per class and payment may be made at the door. All proceeds benefit the primates. Bring your own yoga mat. Price includes admission to the zoo so that “yogis” can explore the zoo after class.

Instructors:

  • May 6 – Sara Miller, Retro Fitness
  • May 13 – Kelly Sprague, Paragon Athletic Club
  • May 20 – Audrey Ventura, Universal Yoga Center
