Registration is now open on Active.com for the 26th annual 2017 Henderson Harbor Triathlon. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Henderson Harbor Boat Launch, State Route 178, Henderson Harbor. The Triathlon begins at 8:30 a.m. and consists of a .750K swim, 20K bike, and 5K run. Participants may compete as an Iron Person, or as part of a team.
Competitive race categories include Iron Man, Iron Woman and Team.
If received on or before June 1, 2017, the Triathlon registration fee is $50 for an Iron Person and $80 for a Team. After June 1, the registration fee is $75 for an Iron Person and $130 for a Team. Fees include race registration, a post-race cookout and awards. All participants registered by June 1, 2017, regardless of their Triathlon category, are guaranteed race T-shirts.
Event proceeds benefit the Children’s Home of Jefferson County and Credo Community Center. The Boys & Girls Club SoZo Teen Center, one of CHJC’s Community Based Programs, is a supervised teen drop-in center located in the Marcy Building, just off Public Square at 171 Polk St., Watertown.
It provides local youth a place to safely engage with their peers. They also have the opportunity to receive help with homework, tutoring and job skills training. In all Center programs, the staff advocates character building, leadership and life skills. The Center is open Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on Fridays.
