State Police in Lafayette are investigating a one-car fatal crash that occurred on Henneberry Road in the town of Pompey.
Investigation revealed that, at approximately 10 a.m., a 2011 Mercedes operated by Alice M. Angelo, 83, from Pompey, was traveling north on Henneberry Road, south of Burke Road, when the vehicle drove off the east side shoulder of the roadway and struck an earth embankment.
Angelo was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical University via Manlius Ambulance where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation continues.
