Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency, Inc., is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive Monday, May 22, from 2 to 7 p.m., at the MVCAA offices, 9882 River Road, Utica.

All blood types are needed; you may call 315-624-9930 to schedule an appointment during the drive or just stop in – walk-ins are accepted.

May is Community Action Month, as well as Trauma Awareness Month, making this partnership a win-win. Every day, the American Red Cross must collect nearly 14,000 blood donations to meet the needs of trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions.

During May, the Red Cross urges eligible blood and platelet donors to roll up a sleeve on behalf of those in need, and MVCAA is calling people to action to help others in our community.

Donating blood is another way to help people, and change lives.
